20150802_008529 What You Iz Doing In Mah Waterhole?? (Sun 02 Aug)

At Home, Illawarra, NSW

Originally I had planned an equal opportunity shot today, taking one of Lilly the dog after putting up the shot of Lucy yesterday. However in the course of doing that I did get some shots of Lucy at her "waterhole", better known as the swimming pool. (But doubtless in her mind it's a waterhole in the savannah. )

Some of them had nice circular waves from where she had been sticking her tongue into the water to lap, but my attention was caught by this one, where her attention was clearly caught by something. I didn't realise what it was until I pumped the contrast a little and whacked on a B&W adjustment layer.

And there it was, at the bottom of the frame... the face of another feline predator, staring back at her. No wonder she was fixated...

("And mah, you iz a VERY good lookin' cat, even if you iz underwater...")

Awesome! Cats are fantastic animals. So curious. The black and white brings out the detail very well. Great POV. V

Love this. Maybe she was just checking her whiskers for portrait?
