There's quite a number of images to fit in between my "Why We Work" images (although by the time you read this, I may have filled those gaps) but in the meantime I don't want you to think that this is a gloating fest. I'm putting these images up first simply as a reminder of where we stayed.

After leaving Perth we drove south and stayed the first night out of Perth in a beachside suburb named Mandurah. The suburb itself is in fact a little bit down at heel until you actually reach the water where it is started to gentrify and become something of a tourist market. Mandurah itself seems to have been an industrial town and as such has a slight touch of "rust belt" about it. However it does seem to be making something of a comeback, and overall I found it to be a nice little town.

This is the beachfront cottage that we stayed at for the night, though the weather wasn't particularly kind to us for a beachfront stay.
