After the events alluded to in yesterday's shot I could foresee this as one of the last times that I would be sitting at my desk. So the desktop wallpaper shows the microwave background radiation from the beginning of the universe. The desk shot is the potential end.

As it turned out, there would be vastly more game playing to be done before anything like an end was approached, but that's a story for another time.
