The third in a series of shots of murals painted as part of the Wollongong Wonderwalls festival in 2013. This one is of a clearly very attractive young woman. Whether she exists or not... only the artist could tell you.
Some of the earlier shots that I did on this shoot show her in the context of the wall, complete with her flowing hair. In this case though I've opted to zoom right in on the top half of her face and leave the full image for another time.
Update September 2022: As I was going through my New Zealand photos (specifically the ones from a trip to Christchurch in 2017) I found a mural which was clearly in the same style as this one.
The style belongs to a Melbourne-based street artist named Rone who is, as per his web site, "best known for his haunting, stylised images of women’s faces". His real name is Tyrone Wright (born 1980) and he is based out of Melbourne.
From his web site, I found that this work is titled "Celestine". His web site mentions that most of his subjects are "Jane Does"; not an actual person, but inspired by various models and subjects. You may therefore never find Celestine, no matter how hard you look.
