A shot from my first serious surfing expedition with the Olympus 40-150 f/2.8 Pro lens. We've been having some large surf conditions for the last few days and when I heard the booming sound of the waves breaking on the beach in the morning I thought it was an opportune time to try out the lens. (On the tripod this time, rather than hand held as I had done with my first PAD gallery entry with it.)
I had yet to learn that I needed to try to keep the speed up around the 1/640th of a second mark or faster for best results, but that lesson would soon be learnt.
Packing the circular polarising filter was a lesson for another time, however.
