Summer has drawn to an end and the time comes for flowering plants to put away their toys for a few months. However I noticed that this park still had some blooms out in force, and in the late afternoon sun I took the opportunity to grab some for my PAD.

This bee, caught in mid flight, was doing the same on a lone patrol to seek out the last of the summer nectar.

I was fairly pleased with this capture by my 300D; not at all bad for an old girl who can sometimes be frustratingly slow off the mark by modern standards.
