120114_093404_20384 A Rare Sighting

Taronga Park Zoo, Mosman, NSW

I have no idea how common (or not) the white headed pigeon is. But I do know that when we walked into the first of two walk-through aviaries most of the inhabitants scarpered leaving us with a fine view of lush greenery but little else. This particular bird was an exception.
