"An area of low pressure will form off the NSW coast during today and tomorrow, as this colder air moves in from the west and interacts with a relatively warm and humid air mass located over the Tasman Sea," said Weatherzone's Alex Zadnik.
"This low pressure trough will send an increasingly deep and humid south-easterly airflow on to the NSW coast between today and Wednesday, leading to increasing rain."
And so it delivered. Trudging to the station through steady if not heavy rain to wait for my train which was cancelled, I thought it noticeably darker than usual for that time of the morning.
By the time I belatedly arrived at Circular Quay the area was quite sodden, but it did give rise to this interesting interplay of light and water. It was created by a combination of the rain, and an ad for a dictatorial computer company which likes to portray itself as uber cool in a way that control freak companies which reach for lawyers on a daily basis... really, really aren't.
