Hey, if I'm going to have to get up at zero-dark hundred to get to work, I may as well make photographic use of it. Especially in this mixture of darkness, fog, and the colours from a fluorescent light and a sodium light. The isolated tree somehow conveys a slight feeling of menace as well, or at least so it seems to me.

If I was able to add a soundtrack to the image, you may well be hearing the theme from the X Files at the moment.

(Not that I'm worried about being abducted. They wouldn't dare...)

I needed to crank the ISO up quite a bit in this shot, and I've already learnt that the Olympus does not do high ISOs all that well. However in this case a bit of extra graininess is at worst unnoticed, and at best adds to the atmosphere. Though I doubt that this image would ever work as a print.
