14118 The Pagoda I

Nan Tien Buddhist Temple, Wollongong

The temple's web site states that the seven-tiered style of its Pagoda is done in a similar style to that from the T'ang Dynasty (A.D. 618-906). "Its tapering design reaching to the sky is synonymous with the idea of practicing Buddhism step-by-step which eventually led to supreme enlightenment."

This Pagoda does / will contain the cremated ashes of devotees and their relatives, with space for over 7,000 people. The Pagoda also contains a wishing bell for visitors.

Addendum: My personal opinion is that Facebook is a sociopathic organisation that steals other peoples' intellectual property (including the images in this gallery) despite being explicitly denied permission to do so.
