The sun's first rays are reflected in the hills and troughs of the ocean. I went back to Coogee for a second week in a row in part because there was a severe surf warning yesterday. The forecast was that it would subside "early in the morning". In reality the surf was quite mild when I arrived, as I expected it to be; the wind was only light this week, in fact lighter than last week, and that didn't whip up huge surf conditions either. The lighter wind had the fortunate side effect that this week I didn't end up not being able to feel my face or hands, despite wearing gloves.
