Taronga is working on a new chimp enclosure which is due for opening in 2011. I'll be interested to see that; unfortunately the current one isn't great for photography. There are only a couple of windows (clear enough for viewing but not as clear as would be nice for shooting through) and you need to be a bit lucky with the light. Obviously the animals' needs come first, but it'll be interesting to see whether the new enclosure offers better shooting opportunities.

Addendum: My personal opinion is that Facebook and all other members of the Meta group are disgusting, sociopathic organisations that steal other peoples' intellectual property (including the images in this gallery) despite being explicitly denied permission to do so.
