It was raining earlier this morning; not heavy rain, just showers, enough to force me to put the wipers on when I drove down to do my shopping. The rain couldn't seem to make up its mind whether it wanted to stay or go, but I thought I'd stick to being indoors anyway. Part of that was processing a few more shots and writing up some commentary for some past shoots. As I was doing so the sun intermittently broke through the clouds, coming through the Venetian blinds and illuminating the wall and part of the screen in my study. Seeing the golden colour, I thought "Hmm, yeah, I'll have some of that".
And thus, we have today's PAD. Probably as close to a zero effort one as I've ever done, not because I couldn't give a toss (I originally had something else in mind), but simply because the opportunity just dropped into my lap.
Life can be like that, though all too rarely.

Edit April 2024: Good gods that's an old Photoshop. When I started to write this I was thinking CS2 (the first version that I used), but in fact CS2 hails from 2005. CS3, which I bought, was 2007. CS4 I think I skipped, and CS5, the last of the CS series that I bought, was released on 12 April 2010. From the date, this may well have been it. The monitor is an Apple, meaning that this was so far back that it was before I decided to boycott any of Apple's "our way or the highway" hardware. It wasn't a bad monitor but it went out of use when my larger and better ASUS (the first of them, for I now use two) replaced it in the mid 2010s.
And thus does the "Photo A Day" become a historic record.
