A rainstorm from the thick band of cloud that's moving in is about to start dumping on the wind farm on the far side of Lake George. However there are enough breaks in the cloud to let sunlight hit and light up the bed of the lake. (Despite the presence of some slushy bits which can be seen in the left foreground, Lake George is still a lake in name only at this time. It's a little greener than it has been in some other photos in this gallery, but a lot of it still has a golden colour.)
