She's one constant when I walk along Harris Street; every day she sits out there, keeping an eye on everyone who goes past.

She isn't much of a conversationalist though. Either that or she's just a tease.

Before anyone asks, it's one of the outlets of Frou Frou Designs.

Edit, Feb 2010: I went past the other day and noticed that she's no longer there; there's just a dressmaker's torso. That's a pity... she added some character to the place.

Edit, Sep 2023: I originally had a link to the business' website (froufroudesigns.com.au) in the description above, but that site has long since been consigned to 404 hell. There is still a page on Facebook, the last entries for which date to May 2014 when a customer was asking whether there was a problem since she couldn't get to the business' Etsy listing. (If you don't know Etsy, you probably don't want to either.) Unfortunately it looks like the place hit the wall almost a decade ago now.

I do wonder what happened to my blonde tease-friend, though I have a horrible feeling that the word "landfill" appeared somewhere in her fate. It's a long way from sitting outside on a beautiful Friday afternoon, lo those many years ago now.
