Thanks for the input, I will endeavour to put more of my existing slides and more D60 shots in the gallery, I do like form, colours and patterns, I really liked the images in your gallery, particular the themes, I like "doors" - simple subject but effectively portrayed. I do have themes in my pictures but I have only put a small portion of them on so far.
(this is a wee bit more private I guess). I really like this shot. Light and shadow (if you missed my post on dpreview) can, sometimes, transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. I think this pic is a great example of what I'm trying to offer as feedback. Most of your other pics don't have that relationship. I think you have a decent eye so far, and I would encourage you to keep on observing and shooting. The book "The Art of Seeing" by Derek Doeffinger, I believe, can provide some very helpful insight. Unfortunately, it's out of print but might be found used. Please make the effort to find that book. It was of tremendous help to me. - Tom
