Airship Ventures brought their Zeppelin NT N704LZ to North Perry Airport in Hollywood on May 17, 2011 and they operated "flight seeing" trips to the general public from May 18th to May 22nd as part of a nationwide tour. I was fortunate enough to buy a ticket for the first morning flight on Saturday, May 21st, and these are the photos I took of the flight.

Airship Ventures proudly operated America's first commercial passenger Zeppelin airship "Eureka" from October 2008 to November 2012. They ceased operations on November 12, 2012. They carried over 20,000 passengers on their flights, mostly over the San Francisco Bay area because their home base was at Moffett Federal Airfield (former Naval Air Station Moffett Field).

In addition to unique "flight seeing" tours they also provided televised coverage of events, a stable aerial platform for scientific research & development, set aviation records, performed at air shows and produced a number of weird and wonderful skydiving stunts.

Airship Ventures ceased operations due to lack of a major/title advertising sponsor, a necessary part of the revenue mix. The Zeppelin was disassembled and has been returned to her place of manufacture in Germany.

Thank you to the owners and management of Airship Ventures for offering such a unique and wonderful flight experience during their four years of operation, and especially for bringing the "Eureka" to South Florida so I could ride on her and take these great aerial photos.
