OPF - Miami Opa-locka Executive Airport Photos Gallery

This airport was Naval Air Station Miami until 1952 when the Navy pulled out. It then became Marine Corps Air Station Miami for several years and they too pulled out. The federal government then gave most of the airport to Dade County for use as a general aviation reliever airport for Miami International Airport. The U. S. Coast Guard moved Coast Guard Air Station Miami from Dinner Key to the federal land not given to Dade County.
