I flew into this airport at least several times in the 1970's due to my first wife being from nearby Vestal. We got to fly a Mohawk BAC-111 once to BGM and Allegheny BAC-111's after Allegheny bought Mohawk in 1972 a couple of times from LaGuardia as I recall but then service dropped back to commuter type aircraft later in the decade. Syracuse, 60 miles or so to the north, had much better jet service from the New York area airports and we ended up flying to and from there a number of times.

Back in its heyday Binghamton was served by Eastern Air Lines and possibly United Air Lines along with smaller carriers like Mohawk and Allegheny.
