For a bus company with no centralized reservation system and very flaky advance seat sales, Viazul was pretty impressive with its on time performance. Never were they late leaving or arriving, and the old Mercedes buses were above average when it came to butt cushioning. My travels on Viazul (Havana-Trinidad-Santiago de Cuba-Baracoa-Santiago de Cuba-Havana) took a total of 43 hours.
