Copaxa silk moth

Laguna Negra, Sucumbíos

Latin name is Copaxa orientalis
The type-locality is from a short bit south at the same altitude.
Temperate forest at 3400 m.
This thing was about 10 cm between the wing-tips. We saw 3-4 of them at the guard station.
