When my daughter recently made a trip down memory lane to the town where
I was born, she also visited our family farm, and did some exploring of the old
sheds. She came across several stacks of gathered memories. This particular
jumbled pile included one of my 'Made in England' willow cricket bats - I remember
buying this particular bat in Sydney in 1962. As time passed, it went from 'gameday'
bat, to 'yardgame' bat, and has weathered many an exciting afternoon of sport in the
backyard of the farmhouse. This memory jogger was made by my daughter and emailed
to me. I have merely desaturated parts of it to highlight the bat, amongst all the other
memories stacked in this old farm shed. I am delighted to put it here in this gallery.
