Faded Memories

Gunnedah, NSW, Australia

When my daughter recently made a trip down memory lane to the town where
I was born, she also visited our family farm, and did some exploring of the old
sheds. She came across several stacks of gathered memories. This particular
jumbled pile included my tricycle - now well over half a century old. It was also
the same set of yard toys she had used during her visits to the farm in her childhood.
It was especially fitting that she was able to take her own daughter, a little over one
year old, to be part of this trip down memory lane. This excellent image was
made by my daughter and emailed to me. I have merely desaturated parts of it to
highlight the tricycle. I am delighted to put it here in this gallery.

What a beautiful picture. And a wonderful story.
Strange the power which resides in inanimate objects.
