Leica M3

Charleston SC - Former Navy Base

Leica M3 , Leitz Summaron f3.5/35, Kodak CN400 BW

I made this an exercise in maximum depth of field (or focus). By exposing with f22 @ 1/60s, with
the hyperfocal distance at 12 feet, gave me a depth of focus from 4 feet to infinity. Although not
easy to see on screen at 72dpi, the dead branches of the distant tree are as sharp as the
closest column. I salute the old Leitz Summaron f3.5/35mm of ~1960. :-) full exif

The emotional color of this B&W is astounding. It is funny how "Life happens when your busy planning something else" (John Lenon). V

Former is the correct word. Love that peeling paint. I never got my head around the calcualtion of hyperfocal distance.. but I can see that it is very effective.
