His grandfather nicknamed him 'Farmer Jack' and the name stuck for quite some time
until Grandfather went to 'a bigger farm in the sky'. My son enjoyed the adventure
of visiting the family farm 'from the city' and seeing where the hens laid their eggs
on hay bales, and how contented cows gave contented milk. Oh, if only children
could be exposed to farm life for a while. They would be the richer for it, and the
world would have more educated stewards of the environment.
