I like the way the Introduction begins: "One great charm of Photography is that it
unites in the bonds of friendship men of all countries under the sun - their common
helper." He could not have imagined PBase in 1887 (or could he?)

A reprint of the 1887 book was made in 1973 by Arno Press, NY full exif
