Leather Leaf Mahonia (Mahonia bealei) about to come into flower.
The Mockingbirds in our yard know that the berries cannot be far behind.

Are you developing the portra yourself? The lab that I use now is giving me back dirty color (well, c-41 process) negatives...so, I may be forced to go to doing my own.
