Hello Dave S. :-) Thank you for your welcome note, and the nice story attached to your Rolleiflex. I'm sure that your Rollei will produce images for you, assuming you heardthe shutter OK and know it is not "glued up" from sitting on the shelf. They are very reliable, though. Good luck, and let me know how you go ! This one shown works fine, except sometimes now the film transport will slip a little so I get frames which are 25% overlapped or just slightly running into one another. Mainly though, it is fine. By the way, at 75 you may be looking into the past more and more because your past is getting more and more. I'm only a boy of 64, but I seem to look backwards a little as well. Best wishes. Happy New Year. Colin

I took my father's Rolleiflex off the shelf recently and took some pictures with it (Not developed yet, but I believe it is still working) He had a friend buy it for him in Germany in 1935. Same model as the one you show.

He took pictures of our family and also made some prints of places in New England, where we lived. I used it for some time taking pictures of my wife's school band concerts when my 35mm gave out. I had a strobe sync added so I could use a flash. (That was in the 1960's.)

Sorry I ran on so. I just turned 75 and I seem to be looking into the past more and more.

Thanks very much for your photos of the rollei and the other cameras.
