Botanic Gardens, Sydney. This plain looking Lodge, built of locally hewn
sandstone blocks, was constructed in the late 1800s at the
eastern end of the Botanic Gardens. The Gardens,
established soon after the colony was founded, are the
oldest scientific institution in Australia.
