Finally, I have a 'printers proof' of my etching 'The Bicycle', printed on Somerset paper,
using a Chine-colle process (bonding a toned rice paper during the printing process) to
provide a gentle patina to suit the subject.

It hastaken quite a few hours of work from concept to this proof, perhaps longer than
usual as it is only the second ever etching I have created and printed; the first is still in trial
proof development. Generally, I am quite happy with the result. (The image is distorted
slightly by the iPad camera).

I will print an edition of maybe 25-30, plus a few artist's proofs, and then I can retire the plate.
