Column Structure 4

Charleston SC

More Ogikon images

Mostly, I compose my images reading left to right. The low sun
would not agree here. Actually, I don't mind the effect of the
columns stopping my eye from wandering off stage right, and
making me refocus along the steps. It feels 'right'. :-)

Ogikon 35P, Ogikon 1:1,9 ƒ=45mm, Kodak BW400CN

Exposed at 400 iso, ƒ11.5 at 1/300s, choosing hyperfocal distance.
There is a little distortion in the image, but agreeable given the
simplicity and age of the lens design, and the camera format.

I like this.............very much. Because there is not that easy left right flow you are left standing there..........looking along the steps, and with the columns. Love it.

I'm with you on the composition. Normal (and often a response) on my part. This appeals to me for sure though.

Tonal quality. Ansel Adams would be proud. You are a master at what you produce.
