Bush Camp 1966 ReScan

Flinders Ranges, Outback South Australia

The latest Silverfast scanner software helps me extract a little more information
from this slowly fading 1966 Kodachrome. I'm posting it in 'Trees', and leaving
the older scan also in the Galleries. I'm sorry to read that Kodak has been forced
to seek bankruptcy protection. In 1966, one would not have even wildly guessed such a future event.

Campfire smoke in Flinder's Pound at a bush camp, Outback South Australia, Easter 1966.
Only dirt and gravel 'tracks' served the area in that era, however, it was a popular destination
for the more intrepid. Easter (autumn) was a good time to visit.

So, you know I love this scene. It has so much magic. So I will vote for the new scan as well. Long live Kodak (in our memories anyway).

Another of your super Pentax pictures, Colin.
This one seems so fresh and new.
Yes, unimaginable that Kodak is in trouble.

Must have a lovely memory for you Colin! Unfortunately the park is shut at right now because of a bushfire. Love the shaft of light. v

This is great! It makes me a little nostalgic for my earlier years. Well done.
In 1966, we used to shoot roll after roll of kodak film .......!

You have touched on so much with this one photo Colin. Asides from the digital revolution, it is now possible to drive all the way to Blinman on a sealed road!!

Trying to work out Silverfast myself. I have a lot of slides my Dad shot in the '50s to scan in. I hope I can do for them what you had done for this. Excellent work!
