'Empty Chairs at Empty Tables'

Hampton Plantation, South Carolina

Handheld again, with the Yashica-D, but this time
wide open at ƒ3.5 and so a decently fast shutter speed.

A bit unusual, this table. There it sat, in a field, where plantation workers of old
had toiled, and a good distance from any buildings. I had the sensation that this 'modern' table was
being used - quite a lot. Even right then as I watched. Just a little eerie. Maybe a little chill along
my spine, even. I walked on, wishing them all 'bon appétit'. I felt it was the proper thing to do.

Michael Ball sings 'Empty Chairs at Empty Tables' (Les Miserables).

Yashica-D TLR, Yashikor 1:3,5 ƒ=80mm, Fuji Neopan 400

Neopan 400 exposed at 320, developed in Ilfosol 3, 1+9,
for 6 mins at 20C after a water presoak for 1 min.
I have slightly toned the image.

I see two types of woodwork, one nature made and the other man made :)

Somehow this seems like a dream, perhaps the trees and the B&W. BV

It is often forgotten or missed as to what went before when one walks onto a scene. Thanks for the bit of info to go with this lovely shot.
