The Light IV

Charleston SC

8AM Sunday. Early Sunlight. Church Entrance.

At the risk of repeating myself (again, wink), whilst we all covet the fastest, sharpest,
newest computer-designed lenses (for good reasons), I find such a refreshing 'patina'
to the images which a basic, simple, 50+ years old lens (using a century old design)
produces. Given the graceful age of this church entrance, would a better lens be better?

Well composed. Pleasing texture and subtle shifts.

A really marvelous composition. Love the contrast between the straight and well-defined "intended" lines and the more obscure and haphazard patterns of aging. And the tones are wonderful. ~V~

I don't know if a better or newer lens would be better.
You have captured the soft, beautiful patina of the church's facade through your old and well loved lens. I really love the lines Colin! V
