The Outcast Gull

Harbor Entrance, Charleston, SC

Best viewed in ORIGINAL size

Here is another image from the same roll as 'Early Morning' HERE, but without
the Deep Red Filter (hence no decent sky and more detail in the rocks.)
This image is a crop of about 50% of the negative. There seems to be
'snap' and reasonable gradation of tone. I will test again, but I'm inclined
to think that Acros 100 (120 size) is not in love with Deep Red filters and
maybe it is not exactly panchromatic. This is purely a guess, and an
unscientific one, certainly!

Hasselblad 503CW, Zeiss Sonnar CF 1:4.0 f=150, Fuji Neopan Acros 100

Exposed at EI80. Developed in ID-11 stock (undiluted)
6min45sec @ 20c with agitation for first 60 sec, then
10 sec every minute.

Now I understand the meaning of without the Deep Red Filter. The details of the Gull are great. One of these days, I will have to do the developing myself I promise...
