Back in the 'day', this was a much used lens with my Nikon F2. A hefty lens, with a
nice big maximum aperture, the focal length of 35-85 made it ideal for many different
tasks. It was one of the 'auto variable focusing' designs, with a constant aperture and
one action zoom and focus ring. If anything, its problem was that it was too well made
- no plastic in this 'bad boy', and enough glass to furnish the windows for a small house.
It gave me some excellent images, as long as I used a lens hood. I like it.
