The face of the cliff resembled a skull, hence the name. There is a B&W picture of the cliff dating back almost 100 years ago on display. The skull image was definitely more noticeable than now due to erosion. However, the actual spot where the three crosses once stood was at the floor of the cliff, which is not a bus terminal.
