But not the typical images from China though since they were captured during a recent trip following the ancient Silk Road through the westernmost part of China. Quite a few of the images here are also displayed in another gallery of mine titled "Silk Road", which contains images taken with Leica M8 in combination with those captured with a Canon DSLR. On the way in and out of the country, we made a stop in Shanghai. A few images from that city are also added to this gallery.
Technicial Note: I took five Leica ASPH lenses with me on this trip; every single one of them had an IR cut filter on them. Three lenses were used the most in a decreasing order: 50mm Summilux, 28mm Elmarit and 21mm Elmarit. I could have left the two other lenses, 35mm Summilux and 75mm Summicron; not because they are slouch, as my Grabshots with Leica M8 gallery shows, but simply there was no opportunity to use them.
I hope you enjoy the images. If you do and feel like it, please check out the more complete gallery, https://pbase.com/ageojo/silk_road . In addition, there is a brief write-up of the Silk Road on that gallery. Thank you very much for visiting.
