Hoomaluhia Lake

A 3-shot vertical panorama of the south end of the lake
at Hoomaluhia Botanic Garden on the Windward side of the
island of O'ahu.

The lake and surrounding gardens at Hoomaluhia were designed
and built by the Army Corps of Engineers to provide flood
protection for Kaneohe town, after severe flooding in the
late 1950s swept away homes in a community down stream
of the gardens.

In in the Hawaiian language Hoolamuhia means,
"to make a place of peace and tranquility"

Excellent... I have a cousin living on the North Shore. She has invited me to visit. I wouldn't want to leave.
