You could never tell it from the show, but the book
"Falconer on the Edge" indicated that most/all of
the falcons Steve has lost have been lost to these
birds: his falcons concentrate on taking out a
Sage Grouse (5x their size) while the Eagle concentrates
on taking out the falcon and it's prize..
