While digging up fingerling shrub oak for a friend I
found this well picked skeleton: I suspect its the work
of a Cooper's Hawk I've seen pursueing birds through the
glade. A raccoon would have scattered the bones far and wide.
The only thing missing, besides feathers, was the unfortunate
bird's head. It may be a robin.
