Park City -> Brighton

I took a bike ride, almost 30 years ago, from I-80 and Foothill Dr in SLC,UT
to Park City via I-80, then took SR-224 through Park City to SR-190. SR-190
is a seaonal road. It used to be gravel from SR-224 all the way to Brighton.
I followed SR-190 up and over, dropping down to Brighton,UT. From there I rode
down SR-190 to Wasatch Blvd in SLC (at 7200 South), and finally back to where
I had parked my VW Super Beetle. My leg shook as I pressed the clutch..
(Having checked Google Earth I suspect old SR-190 is now part of a Deer
Valley ski run and that my former ride was no where near the new SR-224..)

Today, after looking for Sandhill Cranes at the Rockport Reservoir,
I retraced the Park City to Brighton to 7200 South part as a family outing
(in the car). SR-224 and SR-190 are paved for all but the "top" mile. SR-190 was
a gravel, forest road. Now SR-224, it's replacement, runs past megabuck
condos in the Deer Valley ski resort. I've got my fingers crossed, hoping
DV will open the area to snowboarders and provide us all with discount passes..

Here are a few shots from the "top" of SR-224, some north toward Park City,
others south toward Heber & Midway.

All shots were taken with a circular polarizer. Some were taken with an
additional Tiffen Yellow (#6) or Red (#25) B/W filter. Experimenting..
