A series of shots designed to examine the performance of the new camera. Noise tests (Cafe shots) and tests of the 14-45mm Kit lens against a heritage OM macro lens, the 50mm f3.5 which has proved excellent on other E bodies. The B mode allows very precise focussing. The old lens consistently outperformed the kit zoom but, of course, is too dificult to use for everyday work. The AF on the kit lens was also not brilliant at times, it would appear because when it was manually focussed in B mode where a 10x focussing aid is possible, it was better. The bottom images of the wall and plant are full size, as they came from SHQ JPEG in the camera. The others have been resized and the mask shots are cropped to around 50% of the original size. No sharpening or other manipulation has been applied.
