lake district may 2006

9 of us travelled up for 5 days walking in the Lake District, covering 60 miles of a combination of the Inn Way and Cumbria Way. Our base was the excellent Cherry Garth Hotel Ambleside. We started at Broughton in Furness, walking to Coniston; then Ambleside; then Rosthwaite; then Braithwaite. On the last day we walked up the Langdale Valley from Elterwater up Mickleden to Rossett Gill and back. A brilliant week with unbelievable scenery that must be viewed on foot.
