2006 - 2008 Extreme London

Having twice walked circuits of London on the 75 mile Capital Ring and the 150 mile London Loop, we needed something else for our monthly midweek walks. Pitched at or beyond the extremities of Greater London, we walked from central London (Baker Street) out to the perimeter at Waltham Abbey and then anticlockwise around London, generally outside the M25 motorway. We started in January 2006 and finished in April 2008. The 300 miles route proved to be excellent. We walked in some excellent countryside that we would not otherwise have seen and visited some nice pubs - and one awful one! We travelled for hours on trains and enjoyed good friendships.
