Costa Rica - January 2008

We stayed one week in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. The first night was at the Marriott in San Jose and the remaining nights were at a bed and breakfast overlooking Lake Arenal.

I have enjoyed looking at your photos of Chalet Nicholas and Lake Arenal. We have stayed there twice and could really have a 'weight' problem with Cathy's fabulous breakfasts! Lucas took us on a horseback ride back to Cota Lago. Glad to see he is still there.

Hello Dale and Angela,
Isn't Chalet Nicholas heaven ? John and Cathy are ever so nice. We have visited them 3 times already and enjoyed their company and the doggies' enormously. My husband, dr. Marc Pollet and me, we have explored a lot of the rainforest behind the house and caught a lot of dolichopodids there (long legged flies). Marc is still describing species coming from Costa Rica. He says he's gonna need the lives of a cat (9) to finish his work.
Anyway, it's nice to see that you liked chalet Nicholas as much as we do.
