Cocoon Nebula

The Cocoon Nebula is made up of the open star cluster IC5146 and is surrounded by nebulosity of mostly Hydrogen gas.

SXV-H9,2.75 arc-sec/pixel
Stellarvue Nighthawk at f/6 piggybacked on STV-guided LX200 at 1,575 mm. Astronomik 13 nm H-alpha filter and Lumicon DSF filter, 11 x 900 seconds unbinned 1x1. Sigma combined in Ray Gralak's pre-Beta 11. full exif
