The central fountain of the Flora Caprense Gardens with its quite romantic sculpture
now incredibly interred under a platform for pop concerts.
I took this photo in 2005, and remains one of the very rare opportunities to admire the fountain.
There is that silent peace, you know, that drifts into a deeper sleep...and I am in awe of how the sculptor simply knew how to let the chisel fly to achieve this...but it is your eye - the architect's eye, the photographer's eye - who saw precisely what the stone carver did, and captured it here. Oh my..............
