Trip On USS Charlotte

In May of 2001 my good friend and client Mike Fisher invited me to go on a boat ride from Kona to Pearl Harbor. It took 13 hours and was one of the coolest things I have ever done. We did dives and toured the whole boat. I took my friend Brant whom lives in Waikiki. We ate with the Captain and oddly and surreally watched U471 a sub movie. The sonar guy turned on the speaker to hear live whales migrating and dolphins. I looked threw the periscope and stood on the bridge The whole crew was top notch and very proud of there boat. Mike navigated the most awesome piece of equipment in our arsenal in to Pearl Harbor. Good luck to you guys where ever you are now. Aloha No we didn't hit any Japanese fishing boats as many people ask. I know there only kidding and I understand. However this is the same type sub and could have easily been the one involved in that unfortunate accident only months earlier.
