Fraknó vára Burgenland jelképe, a 14. században határvárként építették a Rozália-hegység nyúlványára. A törökellenes háborúk idején a nyugat védelmező bástyája volt. A 17. század eleje óta az Eszterházy család tulajdonában van, napjainkig őrzi jelentős műgyűjteményüket.

The Esterházy "Burg Forchtenstein" castle was built in the 14th century. Since the 17 century it has been owned by the Esterházy family and was important for the defense of the Habsburg Empire against the Turkish in the east. The castle offers a large collection of arms and art treasures.
